Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary analytics leader to transform how data drives decision-making across a large global sales organization. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for advancing the reporting, analytics, decision sciences, and AI capabilities supporting HPE’s Global Sales organization. Reporting directly to the SVP of Global Sales Strategy & Operations., this executive will lead a team of approximately 100 professionals responsible for business intelligence, analytics, data architecture, and decision-support capabilities. At a time of significant transformation across HPE Sales, this role will establish the measurements, insights, and analytical capabilities required to improve business performance, seller productivity, and management decision-making.

A key responsibility for this role will be partnering with IT and the Data Governance Office to expand HPE’s Sales Data Lake and establish a trusted,
governed, and accessible data foundation for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI.

You’ll be providing guidance and strategic vision across:

  • Sales Measurement: Enable the operational deployment of critical metrics, business definitions, and performance management frameworks used to operate the Global Sales organization.
  • Reporting and Business Insights: Delivering executive scorecards, dashboards, and actionable insights that identify performance trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Reporting Automation: Simplifying and automating recurring reporting while reducing manual activity, duplication, and inconsistent data interpretation.
  • Advanced Analytics and Decision Sciences: Applying predictive modeling, machine learning, optimization, and scenario analysis to forecasting, pipeline performance and supporting the availability of advanced insights for segmentation, territory design, capacity, productivity, and investment decisions.
  • AI and Sales Experience: Leading and partnering on AI-enabled initiatives that improve Sales Operations, selling systems, seller productivity, and management decision-making.
  • Sales Data Strategy: Partnering with IT and the Data Governance Office to expand the Sales Data Lake, improve data integration and quality, and develop reusable Sales data products.
  • Data Governance: Establishing ownership, stewardship, definitions, lineage, quality standards, and controls for critical Sales data and metrics.
  • Organizational Leadership: Building and leading a globally integrated team across reporting, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data science.

Driving strategic goals of the organization to successful completion:

  • Establish a consistent and trusted measurement framework for Global Sales.
  • Improve the quality, speed, and actionability of Sales insights.
  • Automate and simplify core reporting and expand governed self-service analytics.
  • Advance predictive and prescriptive decision support for Sales leaders.
  • Apply data science to improve forecasting, productivity, and business predictability.
  • Partner across HPE to identify and scale high-value AI and Sales Experience capabilities.
  • Expand the Sales Data Lake as the governed foundation for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI.
  • Build a world-class GTM Intelligence and Decision Sciences organization

Key stakeholders include Geo & BU Global Sales Leadership, Global Sales Strategy & Operations, Sales Experience and Transformation, Information Technology, the Data Governance Office, Data and AI teams, Finance, Marketing, Channel, Customer Success, and Business Unit leadership. This role will typically influence across Director, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Executive Vice President-level stakeholders

Experience and Skills
  • Extensive experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Intelligence, Decision Sciences, Data Science, AI, management consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading global reporting, analytics, data, or decision-sciences organizations and transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of global Sales processes, including planning, pipeline management, forecasting, segmentation, territories, productivity, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to define enterprise measurements and executive-management reporting frameworks.
  • Experience modernizing and automating complex reporting and analytics environments.
  • Experience applying advanced analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI to business challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through partnership where responsibility for AI, data, technology, and transformation is distributed across multiple organizations.
  • Experience partnering with IT and Data Governance teams on data lakes, data platforms, data products, data quality, and governance.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, executive-presence, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proven ability to translate complex analytical and technical concepts into clear business decisions and actions.
  • Experience leading large, complex programs and globally distributed teams.
  • Strong strategic-management, prioritization, financial-planning, and talent-development skills.
  • Advanced university degree, such as an MBA or graduate degree in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of the company’s policies, processes, controls, and operating environment.
