This role combines hands-on clinical care with client education and multidisciplinary teamwork, making it both challenging and rewarding for veterinary specialists seeking deeper expertise.

What does a Veterinary Cardiologist do?

A Veterinary Cardiologist is a specialist who diagnoses and treats heart and circulatory system diseases in animals. They perform advanced tests like echocardiograms, ECGs, and cardiac catheterization to assess heart function. These specialists collaborate with primary veterinarians to manage conditions such as heart murmurs, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias. They may also recommend medications, lifestyle changes, or surgical interventions to improve an animal’s quality of life.
