Job description

Join Our Team at Willow Springs Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant!

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI (less than 20 minutes from Lake Michigan and the beautiful Kenosha lakefront)

We are a well-established, full-service veterinary clinic with a loyal client base that values and respects our commitment to their pets' health. We maintain a busy but manageable pace that supports a healthy work-life balance for our team.

  Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures

  • Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures

  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms and surgical areas

  • Administer medications and treatments as directed

  • Monitor and report changes in animal behavior or condition

  • Clean and sterilize instruments, kennels, and equipment

  • Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed

  • Educate pet owners on general animal care and post-treatment instructions

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, invoicing, and answering phones

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred

  • Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Basic computer proficiency (experience with veterinary software a plus)

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Work Schedule:
  • Full or Part Time

  • Includes Saturdays
