Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Program Managers to Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for semiconductor product programs. Plan and coordinate all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Identify and document customer requirements and establish engineering schedules.  Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers’ platforms to ensure highest level customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle.  Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance. Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency. Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk and issues logs. Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle. Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports. Provide effective communication regarding status, issues, objectives, dependencies, risks and plan execution to management, development teams and business partners. Collaborate with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering, or technical program manager role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering, or technical program manager role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

1.Project planning and system program management in semiconductor or IT industry;

2.Preparing end-to-end program delivery documentation;

3.Utilizing productivity and project tools: Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite;

4.Waterfall and Agile project and program management;

5.Defining project scopes, objectives, and deliverables; and

6.Product development life cycles for semiconductor products or technology solutions.
