Vest information

What is a vest in a professional or workplace context?

In a professional context, 'vests' typically refer to a type of clothing, specifically sleeveless garments worn over shirts, often as part of a uniform or business attire. However, 'vesting' is also a term used in finance and employment, referring to the process by which an employee earns the right to receive full benefits from employer-provided stock options or retirement plans after a certain period of service. The context in which 'vest' is used will determine its meaning, so it's important to clarify whether it refers to clothing or financial benefits.
