At RJE, as a Pole Surveyor, you'll be responsible for utility pole inspections and ensuring that they are compliant with Joint Pole procedures and construction standards.
This is a Field position requiring field visits in the greater Binghampton, NY area. You must live in or near the Binghampton, NY area to be considered for this position.

What you'll do
  • Inspect utility poles
  • Verify with photos and GPS
  • Check for BlueBook (clearance) infractions
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Pole procedures and Verizon construction standards

What you'll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • An understanding of outside plant construction standards and procedures
  • A minimum of 2 years of outside plant experience
  • Basic computer communication skills including Microsoft Excel and Word

Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: minimal lifting, driving from location to location
  • Occasionally: walking in rear easements outside in all weather conditions
