Job description

We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Cell Tower Climbers to join our team at Phoenix Telecom, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for climbing and working on cell towers to perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of wireless communication equipment. This position requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
responsibilities:
Climb towers and safely perform work at heights up to 500 feet
  • Install, maintain, and repair antennas, lines, radios, and related wireless infrastructure
  • Perform tower inspections and document findings with detailed reports and photos
  • Troubleshoot and test communication equipment and cables using appropriate tools
  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Work closely with the field crew and project managers to complete assignments on schedule
  • Accurately complete daily reports, time sheets, and safety documentation
  • Travel to job sites as required, sometimes for extended periods
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a tower climber or in a similar field preferred
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Strong understanding of safety standards (OSHA, RF awareness, etc.)
  • Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, Competent Climber, First Aid/CPR, and RF Awareness are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
