POSITION PURPOSE

The primary responsibility of this role is to engage in incoming and outgoing sales and service interactions with Verizon business customers. Successful candidates will be able to discuss, recommend, and close sales opportunities. This hourly and commissioned position is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding monthly goals, providing accurate quotes for small business customers, and developing a strong base of customers through strong funnel management strategies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Handle incoming and outgoing interactions with new and existing business customers regarding opportunities and sell over the phone.
  • Promote and recommend additional account opportunities to drive incremental revenue.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Create new relationships with existing Verizon small business customers from outbound calling.
  • Stay productive while working independently and as a team member.
  • Stay organized with customer follow ups and order escalations.
  • Stay informed using announcements, trainings, updates, and certifications.
  • Document all calls, tasks, and appointments.
  • Monitor and track daily productivity, sales performance, and opportunities.
  • Drive sales activity through personal network and lead management.
  • Energetic yet compassionate phone skills required.
  • Great problem-solving ability.
  • Highly motivational and possesses persuasion skills.
  • Ability to quickly overcome objections and think on your feet.
  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking.
  • Self-starter with little to no supervision needed.
  • Excellent communication skills; oral, written, facilitation and presentation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year + experience with Verizon SMB accounts preferred.
  • 3 years + experience and success in a commissionable sales position preferred.
  • Previous call center or wireless industry experience a plus.
  • High School Diploma and or GED required. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to stand and/or walk and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl up to 35% of the time.

Able to sit over 70% of the time.

Able to lift to 25 pounds up to 35% of the time.
