Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Collector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing workflows, insurance follow-up, denial management, and collections processes. Experience with Allscripts, Veradigm, and Practice Management (PM) systems is a plus.

This position can be hybrid for candidates located near one of our office locations or fully remote for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Submit and follow up on insurance claims
  • Review and resolve claim denials and rejections
  • Perform collections and accounts receivable follow-up
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Post payments and reconcile accounts
  • Communicate with insurance carriers regarding unpaid or underpaid claims
  • Maintain accurate documentation within billing systems
  • Work collaboratively with providers and internal teams to resolve billing issues
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of medical billing and collections experience
  • Strong knowledge of insurance claims processing and AR follow-up
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Allscripts
    • Veradigm
    • PM (Practice Management) systems
  • Experience with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in multi-specialty or pain management billing is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage productivity and meet deadlines
