Job description

Purpose:

The Venue Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day venue operations, including supervising hourly staff, maintaining a clean and safe environment and ensuring all event setups and facility needs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The role supports team coordination, equipment maintenance, and enhancing the experience for all patrons and customers.

Essential Functions:

ยท Ensure all employee skill certifications are provided per departmental procedure to Human Resources.

ยท Assist with the analysis of equipment needs to determine purchase and repairs.

ยท Work with other Supervisors- Venue Services to improve team building, communications, and coordinate activities.

ยท Meet weekly with other Supervisors and Director to plan tasks, setups, and ensuring all client and internal needs are met.

ยท Oversees and manages the day shift cleanings in front and back of house, and takes pride in offering the cleanest, healthiest, and most sanitary environment to all patrons and employees

ยท Follow linen management system and clean after every event setup.

ยท Supervise and train designated shift personnel, reporting any issues or concerns to the Director- Venue Services. Tasks may include:

ยท Cleaning all surfaces in restrooms and showers within designated areas.

ยท Stocking soap and paper products, reporting any malfunctions to the Director.

ยท Spot cleaning windows regularly with fully cleaning as directed seasonally.

ยท Cleaning and polishing brass, stainless steel, and chrome fixtures.

ยท Vacuuming and cleaning floors.

ยท Dusting and cleaning all fixtures, ledges, and edges.

ยท Proper disposal of trash.

ยท Ensure completion of all shift tasks and setups to the highest standards.

ยท Familiarity with proper chemical use and disposal.

ยท Knowledge of proper equipment use, reporting any issues to the Director immediately.

ยท Involvement in stripping, waxing, sealing, and/or refinishing areas at regular intervals as directed.

ยท Maintain cleanliness of parking garage, sidewalks, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are free of litter. Keep outside glass on all doors clean, weather permitting.

ยท Ability to take and provide direction and work independently as needed.

ยท Wear a radio for department communication daily, respond to calls, and delegate needs.

ยท Promptly report any unsafe conditions or damage.

ยท Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

ยท High School Diploma or GED preferred.

ยท 1-2 years of housekeeping experience required, supervisory experience preferred.

ยท Certifications in chemical use, equipment operation and repair, or similar skills are preferred.

ยท Ability to motivate staff to deliver quality work within tight timeframes while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

ยท Effective collaboration with a variety of personalities and successful interaction with all levels of the organization.

ยท Working knowledge of various cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment.

ยท Must be able to work 6AM-2PM Wed-Sun
