Job description

Job Summary: Responsible for loading and off-loading machines. Transporting parts and components. Stocking racks with material. Sanding and prepping parts. Basic assembly of components including but not limited to doors and frames.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Moving parts, pieces, and/or cabinets from one area to another.
  • Using basic hand tools for assembly of components
  • Load or offload parts and pieces from machines and conveyors.
  • Keep a safe workplace by housekeeping and keeping an organized work area.
  • Use assistive lifting and transporting devices to prevent injuries to self and others.
  • Stacking and wrapping pallets of material / components.
  • Load and unload transport trucks.
  • Maintain no more than a 1% reject rate per workday.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned by team leader and supervisor

Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess reading skills to read parts, lists, and other material required for job completion.
  • Must be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials.
  • Must have mathematical skills to take measurements and determine correct sizes for cabinet parts.
  • Proficient computer skills to download programs and adjust for tooling compensation.

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Stand and walk up to ten hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.
  • Physically carry and transport items long distances up to ten hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
  • Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
  • Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
  • Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.
  • Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.
  • Must pass a minimum competency test.
  • Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.
  • Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
