Job description

Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Millwrights for projects located in or around Schertz, TX. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $28/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Millwright and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Initial Inspections: Visually inspecting and testing equipment to diagnose malfunctions before disassembling
  • System Disconnections: Disconnecting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including disconnecting motors, pipes, and conveyor systems
  • Precisely Disassembly Machines: Use hand tools (wrenches, hammers) and power tools (cranes, hoists) to remove heavy, complex, or damaged parts
  • Component Overhauls: Examining & dismantling parts for wear, cracks, or defects
  • Documenting: Maintaining records of dismantled parts and prepares them for cleaning or repair
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring safe dismantling procedures are followed to prevent damage to surrounding equipment and protect personnel
  • Dismantling & Inspecting: Disassembling machines, cleaning and inspecting parts for wear, damage, or defects using precision tools such as micrometers and dial indicators
  • Rebuilding & Repairing: Repair or replace broken components, including bearings, rollers, and gears; rebuild hydraulic cylinders and pneumatic systems
  • Precision Alignment: Align, shim, and calibrate machinery to precise tolerances during reassembly to ensure optimal performance

Requirements:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics with the ability to read complex blueprints and schematics
  • Tool Handling: Expert proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized rigging equipment.
  • Safety Adherence: Strict compliance with safety protocols (OSHA, LOTO) in high-risk industrial environments
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift heavy components (often over 50 lbs).
    Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced environments, sometimes requiring long hours to finish repairs during shutdowns
