Job description

Primary Responsibilities

Plan and execute mechanical maintenance projects and provide maintenance support for plant equipment.

  • Safely perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on all plant mechanical equipment
  • Support mill maintenance during downdays and outages and otherwise as needed
  • Ability to cut and weld for fabrication
  • Corrective and preventive maintenance problem resolution
  • Ability to perform sprocket alignments, change various types of bearings, and ability to properly measure layouts
  • Properly and safely rig heavy machinery components


Job Qualifications

A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.

  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and industrial mechanical experience; 3 years preferred
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends with occasional travel to other company facilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts and pay attention to detail
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Outstanding attendance record
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
