Position Description
The Assistant Project Superintendent supports the execution of heavy civil construction projects, including roadway, underground utilities, concrete paving, earthwork, and infrastructure work. This role assists in coordinating daily field operations, monitoring production, enforcing safety standards, and maintaining quality control to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in alignment with project schedules and budgets.
Working closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, and field leadership, the Assistant Project Superintendent helps manage work plans, subcontractor coordination, material logistics, quantity tracking, and site communication. This position plays a key role in supporting field leadership, maintaining strong production performance, and driving successful project delivery while developing the skills necessary to advance into a Project Superintendent role.
Position Requirements
  • High School Degree
  • Preferred: Post-Secondary Degree (Trade or Bachelor's)
  • minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction processes, work planning, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current knowledge and ability to apply relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance
