System One IT has a contract opening for a Vendor Relationship Manager, Security, to support a leading financial services customer. This position follows a hybrid work model with 3 days a week onsite in Vienna, VA.
The Security Vendor Management (SVM) team provides support to business units within the Security organization by managing, negotiating, and overseeing the purchase of contracted products and/or services. The team conducts general relationship management for Security business unit contract owners with contract needs, vendor selections, vendor performance and escalations, requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice review. SVM acts as a liaison between Security and Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM) and contributes to internal due diligence and reporting.ย
Responsibilitiesย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Establish,ย develop, and maintain effective relationships with key business stakeholders, vendors, internal teams, and senior management
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Develop and implement approach strategies for contracts with vendors to ensure Security receives affordable, minimal-risk services
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure all purchases meet the Security-established approval processes
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices regarding Security vendor oversight
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Maintain SharePoint requirements, respond to intake requests within response SLA expectations, and maintain updated work in progress
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Vendor Management Activities can include but are not limited to:
oย ย Assist with market research and identification of potential vendors
oย ย Engage PVM for NDAs for initial consultations
oย ย Organize and facilitate vendor product demos
oย ย Partner with PVM to request quotes for services, using competitive practices to ensure value for money
oย ย Develop and maintain rapport with Vendor POCs
oย ย Ensure contract renewals are timely, and new contracts are executed efficiently
oย ย Ensure adherence to allย standards and requirementsย
oย ย Monitor and manage vendor performance by providing ongoing feedback to vendorsย
oย ย Manage vendor Service Level Agreement commitments, as well as all contractual obligations
oย ย Execute remediation management for vendor performance deficiencies
oย ย Facilitate vendor calls and onsite meetings as needed
oย ย Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and vendor scorecards to aid in vendor management reviews ย
oย ย Initiate corrective actions when necessary to replace vendor and/or vendor resources due to underperformance
oย ย Act as liaison between PVM and Security business customers
oย ย Submit PVM intakes on behalf of Security teams as requested
oย ย Help business unit teams prepare for all required risk review due diligence exercisesย
oย ย Attend weekly status meetings with PVM representativesย
oย ย Partner with PVM on contract negotiations, NDA requests, and sourcing processes
Qualificationsย ย ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Bachelorโs degree in business, finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Experience in supply chain, procurement, and vendor management processes, procedures, and industry best practices
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Expert knowledge of contract terminology
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Experience in establishing and enforcing vendor contracts and service level agreements
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Considerable experience in developing, implementing, and managing a formalized process of selecting and monitoring vendor performance
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Extensive skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teamsย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Experience managing multiple moderate to high complex contracts
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Considerable experience in contract monitoring and issue resolution
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Expert organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Advanced skill in resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirementsย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Advanced skill in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely
