Position Summary

Ford of Boerne is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reconditioning Technician to join our growing service team. This position plays a critical role in preparing pre-owned vehicles for retail sale by performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and quality checks to ensure every vehicle meets dealership standards.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, values efficiency and accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform used vehicle inspections and reconditioning services
  • Complete maintenance and repair work on pre-owned inventory
  • Diagnose mechanical concerns and recommend necessary repairs
  • Perform oil changes, brakes, tire replacement, alignments, batteries, and other light-to-medium repairs
  • Ensure vehicles meet safety, mechanical, and cosmetic standards prior to frontline sale
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and services performed
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors, parts department, and management
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive technician experience required
  • Dealership experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Positive attitude and team-first mentality
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment
