Our Ashburn, VA FieldOperations Managersupervises the daily activities of the employees in their respective region. They set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other managers. This position reports to the Director, Field Operations.

***This position requires daily on-site attendance and is not eligible for remote or work-from-home arrangements. Candidates must be located in or within commuting distance of the Ashburn, VA area.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the teams' objectives and reports on their performance as it relates to established performance goals (MTTR, Revenue, OTP)

  • Hire, retain, and develop a team of Field Technicians (13)

  • Develop training and mentoring programs for new and existing team members.

  • Work with internal organizations and 3rd parties to ensure maintenance, break-fix, and turn-up activities are resolved consistently to the service levels expected by our customers; both internal and external.

  • Work with internal teams to create, streamline, and document workflow.

  • Prioritize assigned work.

  • Monitor costs to ensure incurred costs are in line with the forecasted budget.

  • Create, monitor, and report on the forecasted budget for the assigned region.

  • Responsible for inventory forecasting and tracking of the assigned region.

  • Administer Zayo fleet program in partnership with Fleet Manager for the assigned region.

  • Manage a disaster recovery plan for the assigned region.

  • Contribute to the ongoing expansion of Workforce Managementas a way toincrease Field Operationsefficiencies. This includes the WFM team members as well as any systems and process development - Salesforce or otherwise.

  • Establish and publish 24/7on-call/after hourscoverage schedule

  • Work closely with remote support team toidentifyisolate and repair network and customer impairments

  • Operate company vehiclein accordance withsafe driving practices and will ensure routine maintenance is performed on the vehicle per defined schedule.Will also conduct daily inspection ofvehiclesto ensure its safe operating conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Must live within 60 minutes of Ashburn, VA

  • Bachelor's degree in management/business/telecom, or other related field isrequired

  • 5+ years of Telecom operations experience required

  • 2+ years of management/leadership experience required

  • If no Bachelor's degree is held, ahighschool diploma/GED with nine (9) years of direct related experience plus two (2) years of experience in a leadership or managerial capacity will be accepted.

  • Ability to report to and work daily in the office environment is a requirement of this position

  • Comfort in presenting data and financials toteamsand various other departments.

  • Ability to pass MVR check and be able tomaintaineligibility tooperatea company issued vehicle per our fleet policy (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years); this includes possession of a state-issued driver's license for the state in which you live.

Estimated base salary range: $59,800 - $92,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
