Hours: Monday-Thursday starting 5:30-6:30am

Pay:  $19.91-$23.28

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure that line is set up properly for product being run
  • Ensure photo eyes are clean and working properly; adjust as needed
  • Ensure glue pot is working properly and contains an adequate level of adhesive
  • Ensure proper PMI temperature is maintained
  • Enter data into computer for product being run, run test to ensure correctness, ensure jars have correct labels and codes, compare against explosion sheet
  • Ensure codes match the schedule exactly, discuss any deviations immediately with proper personnel; complete proper paperwork
  • Clean prints heads as needed
  • Coordinate with driver to ensure sufficient materials are on hand and correct for product being run
  • Test tightness of jar lids every so often; stand up fallen jars
  • Inspect for broken jars, low fill weights; pull bad product off line
  • Ensure Wexxar and/or magazine is kept fully stocked and trays are formed correctly and glued properly; troubleshoot problems
  • Watch for product back-ups when Palletizer is down
  • Ensure shrink wrap on PMI is covering properly; replace rolls of shrink wrap
  • Make line adjustments such as: all rails including in-feed and discharge; glue heads; line speed; photo eyes; and re-install flight bar when it has broken away
  • Clear jams; determine the reason for he problem and correct
  • Complete necessary paperwork including accurate log data and downtime information
  • Clean machine
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math and clear communication skills.

The Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions and extreme heat/cold. Some high noise levels and moving mechanical parts.  Exposure to brine, bleach, and cleaning chemicals.

Must wear proper PPE such as bump cap, eye and ear protection, gloves, to ensure your safety as well as protecting the quality of our products.

Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with team members across departments.
