Job Description

Responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of in-house applications.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, develop, test, debug and install our in-house developed applications.ย 
  • Prepare technical specifications according to business functional specifications.
  • Assist with the development of project plans.
  • Research and analyze reported maintenance requirements.
  • Lead team of programmers, business analysts and users throughout the project life cycle.
  • Assist end users and business analysts in the resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming and procedures including providing off-hour support. Maintain issues list and facilitate resolution of issues.
Qualifications
  • VB.Net Developer 6-10 years experience
  • Experience in full SDLC required
  • Experience with desktop client dev/test required
  • Strong communication skills, a user-service orientation, familiarity with the team decision-making process and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial industry experience is plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience programming in VB.Net Framework, VBA and SQL
  • Proven experience writing system documentation (design, test plans, test execution, implementation plans and implementation execution)
  • Experience working from system requirements and design specifications through implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot applications and identify root cause of defect
  • Domain knowledge of Financial/Banking Institution methodologies is a plus
  • Ideal candidate should have experience with VB.NET on batch processing and / or thick client project
