Join Vanguard's College to Corporate Internship Program for Sales and embark on an immersive, hands-on experience at one of the world's largest investment firms. This internship offers real-world experiences through unique opportunities that will not only prepare you for a future career in sales but also empower you to make a meaningful impact. Dive deep into Vanguard's business model across its three sales divisions and lead key assignments that contribute to our mission, making a difference for our fifty million investors worldwide!


In this internship program you will:

  • Develop a broad understanding of our business and gain deep insights into the department where you are pursuing your project work within Vanguard's sales divisions. Whether it is Personal Wealth, Financial Advisor Services, or Workplace Solutions, your assignment will draw upon your experiences and interests to add exceptional value to the business.
  • Learn and practice sales skills that show how relationship management, creative thinking, technology, analysis, and problem-solving drive success in a world-class corporation.
  • Gain confidence in navigating the ambiguities of the industry as you identify problems, recommend solutions, and improve how the business functions.
  • Receive personalized coaching and mentorship by meeting regularly with your program manager and internship manager, ensuring you have the support needed to excel.
  • Cultivate new relationships in a fast-growing network of dedicated professionals who are ambitiously working to do what's right for the client.

This is your chance to kickstart a career that counts, developing your potential as a confident, capable, and engaging leader under the guidance of top industry sales leadership. The internship program is designed to give you the necessary skills and experience to excel in sales.

Upon successful completion of the internship, you will have the opportunity to apply for a full-time role aligned with one of Vanguard's sales divisions or one of our Vanguard Specialty Programs. These roles and rotational programs promote networking, growth and development, a unique perspective, and an emphasis on leadership and client impact.

To be considered for this internship program, we value individuals from all majors who aspire to sales and sales leadership. We are looking for candidates who have the following qualities:

  • Open to all majors, with a preference for candidates pursuing degrees in Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or related fields, who are interested in a career in financial services.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding others in both formal and informal contexts. Skilled in managing multiple priorities and driving results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge and maintain robust professional relationships within a diverse network.
  • The ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Quick learnerwith the ability to grasp new concepts swiftly, adapt seamlessly to evolving environments, and proactively take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
  • A proactive approach to achieving goals and effectively managing multiple tasks.

Special Factors

  • At this time Vanguard is only considering candidates that will not now, or in the future, need sponsorship or other immigration support to obtain US work authorization
  • This program is a full-time, paid summer internship
  • The start date for this program will be May/June 2027
  • Acceptance into the program is contingent upon a successful drug-screening result and background check
  • You will have the opportunity to give back to the community by donating your time and talent during a paid Volunteer Day with your intern cadre
