Sr. Payroll Tax Analyst
Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Payroll Tax Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where accuracy, compliance, and collaboration are essential. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll tax regulations, and the ability to drive process improvements while partnering effectively across teams.

This role is on-site in Dayton, Ohio.

Sr. Payroll Tax Analyst Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-state and international payroll tax compliance, filings, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Process payroll accurately while researching and resolving complex payroll tax and W-2 related issues.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement payroll tax updates, amendments, and system enhancements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely project deliverables.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, reconcile tax accounts, and support year-end payroll tax reporting.

Sr. Payroll Tax Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an Associate's degree with 5+ years of payroll tax experience.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, SmartCompliance, and Workday.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance, account reconciliations, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and process improvement skills with exceptional attention to detail.
