Job description

VAM USA currently has an opening for a Material Handler at their Houston, Texas location. VAM USA is the world leader for premium connection solutions for the oil and gas industry with numerous production facilities, three leading edge technology Research & Development centers and a network of over 160 licensees worldwide.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Must know requirements for maintaining traceability (i.e., stencils, unique number, heat numbers)
• Demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills (related to pipe yard operations)
• Ability to load and unload trucks
• Demonstrate the ability to comprehend paperwork (bill of ladings, inventory reports, etc.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge of all inventory MC's and QP's
• Perform check list on equipment every morning before shift
• Report all unsafe conditions and near misses to Manager
• Must present yourself in a professional manner with all customers
• Familiar with yard layout
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong verbal, written and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Understand and execute written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to pass applicable testing as required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and push or pull 75 pounds
