Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Mobile Transformer Assembly Level 1 to join our team. If you're eager to learn, ready to work with precision, and committed to supporting high-quality assembly processes, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do
As a Mobile Assembly Level 1 , you'll perform basic assembly tasks under qualified supervision while learning the skills needed to advance. You'll maintain a clean and safe work area, assist senior technicians, and ensure every step meets Delta Star's quality and safety standards.
A Day in the Life
Your day will involve measuring and mounting equipment, cleaning transformers, and assisting with cable installation and accessory setup. You'll learn to operate cranes, forklifts, and vacuum machines under supervision, read blueprints with guidance, and support inventory control. Every task you complete will help ensure accurate, efficient assembly and prepare you for future growth.
Specific Duties
  • Perform assigned Level 1 assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety requirements and company policies.
  • Measure, layout, and mount equipment.
  • Clean transformers of oil, chalk, and debris.
  • Safely operate overhead crane and set up pendant under supervision.
  • Assist with weighing transformers using wireless scales.
  • Read blueprints and unit instructions with guidance from senior staff.
  • Cut cables to correct lengths, crimp connectors, install cables, and secure with proper wrapping and zip ties.
  • Install nameplates and Delta Star logos correctly.
  • Operate vacuum machines under qualified supervision.
  • Identify and install correct covers for accessory boxes and valves.
  • Inspect transformers for issues and report findings.
  • Learn safe operation of man lifts and forklifts.
  • Assist with kitting parts and inventory control.
  • Inspect own work and review work of new employees.
  • Complete all necessary documentation (DIRs).
  • Hook and unhook trailer/jeep from truck under supervision.
  • Complete new hire training and pass all required tests.
