Aviation Assembly Technician

Eagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking Aircraft Assembly Technicians. Eagle Technologies designs and manufactures state-of-the-art aircraft systems and components for the aerospace industry, with a niche in helicopter rotor system and prop blade development. We are AS9100 Rev D certified in all aspects of our operation, working routinely in both composites and aerospace metals. Salary: $25-35/hr

Job Type: Full-time, on-site

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

Work closely with the engineering department and production teams to ensure that all assembly operations are completed accurately.

Follow operating procedures, engineering instructions, and other recognized methods of instruction.

Familiarization with assembly, common aircraft hardware, and processes such as drilling, hi-lok fastener installation and removal, blind riveting, and solid riveting.

Perform assembly of rotor and drive systems for both manned and unmanned aircraft.

Troubleshoot and solve problems that may arise during assembly.

Use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

Clearly document work performed in accord with standard aircraft practices and in compliance with AS9100 procedures.

Other activities as may be directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.

Good math and mechanical aptitude.

Eye for detail and a drive to go above and beyond to ensure products are of the highest quality.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with various shop equipment including cutting/grinding tools, table saw, band saws, etc.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

Credentials and Experience

Will work on government contracts.

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 10 years' experience in assembly operations with an understanding of aerospace engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.

Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification or training preferred.

Composite experience preferred.

Must be a US Citizen.
