Job description

Join our dynamic team at ABBITZ Measurement, a leading provider of bellows actuated differential pressure gauges. We are seeking an assembly technician. Candidate must be dependable , have a clean record, and have reliable transportation. Position is long term in a great work environment. Hours are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday with 1/2 an hour lunch and two additional 10min breaks.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechanical components for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly: Assemble mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Testing: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or defects during the assembly and testing process.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any issues encountered.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality control, to ensure seamless production processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
