The Edwards Transcatheter Heart Valve Sales organization is looking for a new team member to join our top-notch Business Operations team in the most exciting space within interventional cardiology today. In this role, you will be a key member in supporting sales as a technical architect for operational data systems and BI tools. This is a high impact role with excellent career development for someone with a technical background who wants to expand on your experience and grow within the business side of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Administer the execution of U.S. sales incentive plans ensuring alignment with commercial, strategic imperatives and financial budgetary requirements.
  • Calculate and prepare commission and commission statements for U.S. sales force within specified deadlines while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members in the architecture and optimization of complex business processes across multiple systems. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business processes in the area of responsibility
  • Provide management decision support through ad hoc analyses and reporting.
  • Develop meaningful presentations of data and analyses to communicate projections, results, recommendations, and insights for management.
  • Evaluate and validate complex functional business requirements against business needs. Translate the needs of business into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns
  • Serve as liaison between multi-functional team members and external stakeholders in the area of responsibility. Lead efforts to architect and optimize complex business processes and systems
  • Lead the identification of root causes and provide guidance for resolutions for testing and validation of processes and systems including perform complex root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex business processes including testing and researching data integrity/accuracy
  • Provide design and architecture guidance to project teams to execute tactical projects / initiatives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to business end-users on best practices
  • Provide platform guidance to team members on solutions
  • Identify and recommend innovations that significantly enhance efficiency and effectiveness of business processes

What You'll Need (Required):
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, 8 years of previous related sales operations, business strategy and/or financial planning experience or equivalent work experience based on Edwards' criteria

What Else We Look For (Preferred):
  • Medical device/pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience preferred.
  • Certifications in related disciplines (programming, database development, etc.)
  • Extensive technical knowledge with expertise in at least one technical language or data management system (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, SnowFlake, Python, Power Apps)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Proven expertise in MS Excel
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with reporting tools such as MS Reporting Services
  • Intermediate to advanced level in data visualization tools to develop dashboards such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Intermediate to advanced level in TSQL or PL/SQL development
  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Recognized as an expert in own area with specialized depth and breadth of expertise within area of work in the organization
  • Expert understanding of quantitative methodologies, techniques and tools to develop best in class analytic solutions
  • Extensive technical knowledge with expertise in at least one technical language or data management system
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Represents leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and team
  • Consult in project setting within specific area
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $121,000 - $171,000 (highly experienced).
