Job description

Industrial Valve Sales and Service is seeking a technician that will conduct assembly, disassembly, set-up, and testing of valve actuators & geared products. They will provide field services for preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators. Some travel will be required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Assembly of new and repaired valve actuators & gearboxes.
โ€ข Disassemble valve actuators geared products when necessary.
โ€ข Accurately measure, inspect, and assess needed repairs.
โ€ข Read assembly drawings and workorders to ensure proper actuator set-up.
โ€ข Ability to use basic electrical tools and test benches.
โ€ข Properly set-up valves actuators to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and other customer requirements.
โ€ข The ability to work off verbal and written instructions.
โ€ข Ability to operate forklift and crane.
โ€ข Conduct safe rigging of materials.
โ€ข Safely operate company vehicles and maintain a DOT physical year to year.
โ€ข Travel to customer sites when needed to perform work.
โ€ข Other duties related to the assembly & field services department.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
โ€ข Mechanical aptitude
โ€ข Understanding of basic electrical theories
โ€ข Basic math skills
โ€ข Read wire diagrams, blueprints & schematics
โ€ข Use of forklift
โ€ข Use of cranes and rigging
NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS:
โ€ข Welding
โ€ข Manual machining
โ€ข Strong Electrical/Mechanical aptitude
โ€ข Repair of industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, pumps.
