Allied Valve is seeking motivated and mechanically inclined Valve Technicians to support industrial maintenance and repair operations across a variety of customer sites and industries.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, solving complex equipment issues, and traveling to different job sites. Technicians work both in the shop and in the field performing inspections, repairs, testing, and maintenance on industrial valve systems critical to plant operations.

What You’ll DoValve Repair & Maintenance
  • Inspect, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial valves and related equipment
  • Work on a variety of valve types including:
    • Control valves
    • Safety relief valves
    • Gate valves
    • Globe valves
    • Ball valves
  • Perform valve teardown, cleaning, lapping, reassembly, and testing
  • Identify mechanical issues such as leakage, damaged trim, or worn internal components
Testing & Calibration
  • Test and calibrate valves to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and testing equipment
  • Verify valve performance and document results accurately
Field Service Work
  • Travel to customer facilities to support outages, shutdowns, and maintenance projects
  • Perform onsite repairs and troubleshooting in industrial environments
  • Work safely and professionally while representing the company at customer locations
Documentation & Team Collaboration
  • Complete service reports, inspection records, and repair documentation
  • Communicate with customers, supervisors, engineers, and team members regarding repair status and technical findings
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality workmanship standards
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies and customer site requirements
  • Ensure repairs and testing procedures meet applicable industry standards including ASME and NBIC requirements where applicable
Qualifications
  • Prior mechanical, industrial maintenance, valve, pump, or rotating equipment experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Comfortable working independently and in team environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or certifications are a plus
Travel & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately 40–50% of the time, including overnight travel
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and outage schedules as needed
  • Ability to lift tools and equipment
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments, confined spaces, and elevated areas
  • Able to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions
