Maintenance Supervisor

Hayden Valley Foods, the nation's TOP privately owned and operated Nut and Snack Company has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift. Summary

Hayden Valley Foods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production equipment, while ensuring safety, food quality, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support maintenance technicians and daily maintenance operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Lead preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Maintain production equipment, packaging machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors, HVAC, and utility systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and minimize downtime in a timely manner.
  • Support installations, rebuilds, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, HACCP, food safety, and company standards.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and maintenance documentation through CMMS/SAP systems.
  • Train and mentor maintenance team members.

Work Environment

Exposed to all areas of the food production plant, including lower & higher levels of the building, dust, airborne particles, loud noises & vibrations, with the possibility of food allergens being present. Heavy labor position.

Physical Demands of Position

Employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, lift, lean, carry, sit, climb, stoop, and walk during the work shift. Required to lift up to 50 pounds constantly and occasionally lift over 80 pounds.

Must be able to meet high physical demanding requirements.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance required
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to use and understand a multimeter.
  • Knowledge 480V, 208V, 120V, and low-voltage systems
  • Experience with VFD drives, PLCs, HMIs, photo eyes, sensors, and pressure switches.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, drives, conveyors, and positive displacement pumps.
  • Ability to use industrial maintenance tools, including drills, grinders, presses, and bearing pullers.
  • Basic welding, machining, HVAC, and ink-jet printer knowledge preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond quickly to equipment issues.
