Your Job
The Testing & Validation Manager is responsible for leading and supervising environmental EV/DV/PV validation and testing activities at VAS Grand Blanc. This role oversees validation, prototype, EMC, certification, and homologation activities to ensure programs meet performance, timing, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements. The manager supports product development by leading R&D testing initiatives, driving early failure detection, coordinating internal and external resources, and ensuring validation processes are documented, consistent, and continuously improved.

What You Will Do
  • Primary responsibility is to help your employees develop and maximize their contributions by applying Principle Based Management.
  • Lead and supervise all environmental EV/DV/PV validation and testing activities at VAS Grand Blanc.
  • Oversee EMC, certification, homologation and prototype processes to ensure alignment with program milestones, regulatory requirements, and market entry timelines.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, external labs, and certification bodies to support timely, compliant testing and documentation flow.
  • Promote and maintain quality and safety standards across all validation and testing activities.
  • Lead R&D testing initiatives to support early failure detection during the development phase.
  • Manage EMC testing activities, monitor progress, resolve issues, and minimize delays to ensure successful EMC validation.
  • Track certification status across programs and communicate risks, issues, and progress to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of validation failures and recommend design improvements to support product robustness.
  • Assess program needs and allocate resources to support validation timing, cost, and execution requirements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for validation, prototype, EMC, and certification workflows.
  • Implement best practices and integrate lessons learned into departmental procedures to improve testing effectiveness and consistency.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and process adherence.
  • Train, onboard, and mentor new hires to build technical capability, process understanding, and team cohesion.
  • Define and conduct Design of Experiments methodologies to identify critical failure modes and accelerate failure-mode detection.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate new concepts and support design robustness.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading direct or indirect reports and/or managing cross-functional projects focused on product validation and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, test requirements.
  • Hands-on experience setting up or executing lab-based tests.
  • Leading failure analysis, troubleshooting, or root-cause problem solving efforts.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Familiarity with automotive, electronics, or antenna-related systems.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and test results to both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal teams and external partners (e.g., customers or suppliers)
