Responsibilities

Role: Assistant Valet Manager

Location: Ritz Carlton South Beach

Pay rate: $20.00/hr + tips

As Assistant Valet Manager, you will help lead all aspects of our valet parking operations and guest services. You will work closely with the Valet Manager to ensure a seamless experience for every guest while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Support

  • Oversee Associates: Ensure all team members greet and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Training & Coaching: Assist the Valet Manager in maintaining proper staffing levels and providing ongoing training to the team.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by the valet staff at all times.

2. Operations & Event Management

  • Facility Oversight: Responsible for the smooth daily functioning of the valet parking facility.

  • Event Planning: Coordinate parking logistics for special events and foresee any impact they may have on property operations.

  • Revenue & Rates: Assist in overseeing parking services and rate management.

3. Client & Guest Relations

  • Satisfaction: Build strong relationships with clients and guests to ensure all requests are met.

  • Problem Solving: Closely monitor and resolve issues related to associates, operations, loss prevention, or guest concerns.

  • Brand Ambassador: Maintain and promote the culture and philosophy of Metrpolois / SP+ Hospitality in every interaction.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

What You’ll Need (Minimum Requirements):

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Driver’s License: A valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record. (Ability to drive manual transmission/stick shift is a plus!).

  • Availability: Flexible schedule to work all shifts, including weekends. Punctuality and excellent attendance are a must.

  • Communication: Strong English skills (reading, writing, and speaking) to effectively interact with guests, clients, and team members.

  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain a neat, clean appearance and follow all grooming and uniform standards.

  • Skills: Basic math and bookkeeping knowledge. Strong common sense and the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years of service-related management experience (Hotel or Valet experience preferred).

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and provide coaching/training.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or Valet Parking software.

  • Languages: Bilingual skills are a huge asset, especially Spanish.

  • Education: A college degree in Hospitality, Hotel, or Restaurant Management is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Active Role: You will regularly stand, walk, and move quickly. You must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs occasionally.

  • Outdoor Elements: You will work outside in various weather conditions (extreme heat, rain, or cold) and around busy traffic.

  • Safety First: Must remain safety-conscious at all times while working near moving vehicles and high noise levels.
