In this role, you will support rental operations by assisting customers, processing rental transactions, coordinating equipment hauling, and ensuring smooth day‐to‐day rental activities from small tools to large earthmoving equipment.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Answer calls, quote rates, and assist customers with equipment selection based on jobsite needs.
  • Promote Caterpillar Products: Encourage customers to choose Cat equipment for their rental requirements.
  • Drive Rental Activity: Maintain a proactive, creative mindset to increase rental sales and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure Accurate Transactions: Handle rental contracts, invoicing, insurance verifications, credit checks, and payment terms accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate Equipment Hauling: Schedule and support equipment deliveries and pickups; process associated billing.
  • Manage Rental Records: Enter and update rental details and transaction history in the RentalMan database.
  • Handle Equipment Check‐In/Check‐Out: Conduct detailed reviews of equipment before and after rental.
  • Support Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate repairs with the Service Department and monitor repair status and costs.
  • Identify Customer Misuse: Partner with Service personnel to identify equipment abuse and ensure appropriate billing.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Troubleshoot concerns related to deliveries, billing, repairs, and rental logistics.
  • Optimize Fleet Utilization: Recommend adjustments to fleet mix to meet customer demand and maximize revenue.
  • Support Sales Team: Assist outside sales representatives with rental‐related requests.
  • Support Store Operations: Help with counter operations and rental store functions as needed.
  • Monitor Competition: Report significant competitor rental activities to management.
  • Represent Quinn Professionally: Uphold the company’s values and maintain a strong, customer‐focused image.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of related customer service or rental experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Basic mechanical understanding helpful but not required
