Job description

The VA Representative will be knowledgeable about Soldiers’ Angels programs and policies and will coordinate with their local Chief of the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE) to provide Soldiers’ Angels program support to Veterans in the VA Medical Center, VA clinics, VA vet centers and other VA facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate delivery of Soldiers’ Angels programs with the CDCE committee and appropriate VA staff.
  • Manage Soldiers’ Angels’ programs, volunteer opportunities, and donations to the VA.
  • Build network of volunteers and community support network.
  • Track national campaigns (donations Girl Scout Cookies etc.), to include picture requirement
  • Coordinate with the Community Representative for all national campaign support within their site.
  • Collaborate with VA staff, VA social workers, case managers, outreach coordinators and other key VA personnel.
  • Collaborate with VA vet centers, VA clinics and other VA facility leadership to organize opportunities to serve.
  • Attend weekly meetings with staff manager.
