Job Title: Physician Assistant - Otolaryngology (ENT)
Location: Private Practice Group Virginia Beach VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 (commensurate with experience)

About the Practice

Join a well-established and thriving private Otolaryngology (ENT) practice located near Virginia Beach, VA. This physician-led team is dedicated to delivering top-notch care to patients, combining a patient-centered approach with cutting-edge diagnostic and surgical solutions. The group fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where team members are empowered to excel. The Physician Assistant (PA) will work alongside a team of experienced Otolaryngologists and medical professionals to provide comprehensive ENT care to a diverse patient population. New graduates are encouraged to apply, as extensive training and mentorship will be provided to ensure a successful transition into the specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Assist in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.

  • Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans.

  • Procedural Assistance: Support physicians during in-office procedures and surgical cases.

  • Treatment Management: Perform minor procedures, including ear cleaning, nasal packing, suturing, and biopsies as appropriate.

  • Post-Operative Care: Monitor patient recovery, manage follow-up visits, and address post-procedural concerns.

  • Patient Education: Counsel patients on treatment plans, procedures, medications, and preventive care.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the physicians, nurses, audiologists, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.

  • Board Certification (NCCPA) or eligibility required.

  • Valid Virginia PA license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

  • New graduates with a strong interest in Otolaryngology are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training and mentorship will be provided.
