What is a virtual machine?

VMs, or Virtual Machines, are software-based emulations of physical computers that run an operating system and applications just like a real computer. They allow multiple operating systems to run on a single physical machine by using a hypervisor to allocate resources such as CPU, memory, and storage. VMs are commonly used for testing, development, server consolidation, and running legacy applications. They offer flexibility, isolation, and efficient use of hardware resources, making them popular in cloud computing environments.

What are some common challenges faced by visual merchandisers when implementing store displays, and how can they be addressed?

Visual Merchandisers often encounter challenges such as limited floor space, frequent product changes, and balancing brand guidelines with store-specific needs. To address these, VMs work closely with store managers and inventory teams to plan layouts that maximize space and adapt quickly to new campaigns or seasonal changes. Effective communication and flexibility are crucial, as is staying updated on the latest design trends and customer preferences to create engaging, sales-driven displays.
