RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Mid Level UX Writer.
Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level UX Writer/Content Designer to support digital experiences. This role is responsible for crafting clear, concise, and engaging content across webpages, applications, and quote flows-ensuring high-quality user experiences that align with the brand, accessibility standards, and business goals. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating UX writing or content design experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Write, review, and edit digital content for usaa.com with a focus on clarity, consistency, accuracy, and usability
* Develop webpage, application, and quote-flow content using clear, concise, and conversational language
* Ensure content aligns with brand standards, accessibility best practices, SEO guidance, and style guidelines
* Perform substantive editorial review for logic, flow, grammar, spelling, and formatting under tight deadlines
* Read and analyze business requirements to translate complex information into user-centered content
* Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, designers, product partners, and stakeholders
* Manage and support editorial workflows using available systems and tools
* Incorporate feedback effectively and adapt writing style as needed
* Deliver assignments rapidly, often within 1-3 days, depending on complexity
REQUIREMENTS:
* UX Writing Certification is preferred; Strong portfolio or UX writing samples required
* 4 years of User Experience Writing or Content Design experience
* 4+ years of experience with SEO, AP Style, and Style Guide
* Experience partnering with design teams and subject matter experts to create user-centered experiences
* Ability to write clear, concise, and conversational content tailored to digital experiences
* Strong understanding of aligning content to business goals and accessibility standards
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
* Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities
* Ability to incorporate constructive feedback and adapt quickly
Hands-on experience with:
* Figma
* SEMRush
* Microsoft Word
Daily Use of Figma Includes:
* Editing text directly within components, frames, modals, and prototypes
* Navigating design panels and layer structures
* Updating font styles (size, weight, bullets, etc.)
* Editing specific component-level text
* Reviewing and managing version history
* Configuring components following design system guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
* Financial Services industry writing experience
* Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
* Familiarity with AI prompt writing
* Experience building webpages and flows using pre-built design system components
* Understanding of component variants and how to edit them in Figma or AEM
* Prior copywriting or SEO-focused writing experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
