Job description

UX Design Architect

UX Design Architect — Health Intelligence Platform (Volunteer)

Replenish NutrAI is on a mission to serve the most neglected demographic in healthcare. Over one billion women globally are in menopause, 6,000 reach it every day in the US alone, and most are navigating it with contradictory medical advice, unregulated supplements, and zero tools that connect what they take to what the science actually says. We're changing that.

We're building a menopause health intelligence platform that includes a peer-reviewed chatbot with traceable clinical citations, barcode scanning that validates supplements against published trial data, environmental intelligence, and drug interaction safety checks.

We have a functional iOS app on TestFlight and are launching our MVP on World App.

We're looking for a UX design architect to establish the design foundation that our visual designers build on top of.

What you'll be doing:
- Creating design architecture documents that define information hierarchy, user flows, and interaction patterns across the full product
- Establishing and maintaining a minimalist Swiss design system (clean typography, grid structure, intentional whitespace, zero clutter)
- Designing the structural framework for micro-learning education (lesson formats, progression, deep links to chatbot)
- Defining gamification and retention mechanics (streaks, progress tracking, engagement loops) grounded in behavioral research
- Analyzing existing screens and identifying where the design can be simplified, streamlined, or made more intuitive
- Providing foundational documents that visual designers and frontend engineers can execute against without guessing
- Ensuring clinical information is presented in a way that feels warm, conversational, and accessible rather than medical or overwhelming

What we're looking for:
- Experience creating design systems and UX architecture documents, not just visual screens
- Strong understanding of information architecture and user flow design
- Familiarity with minimalist design principles (Swiss/International style preferred)
- Understanding of gamification mechanics and what drives daily retention in consumer apps
- Ability to think structurally about how education, conversation, and data visualization coexist in one product
- Comfortable working in Figma and collaborating with a visual design team

Nice to have:
- Experience designing health or wellness products
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design
- Background in micro-learning or edtech UX
- Knowledge of mobile-first design patterns

This is currently a volunteer role with full intention of transitioning to a paid position contingent upon funding. We are a pre-seed startup with a team of 12, actively pursuing grant funding through World App's developer programs. You'll be working alongside two visual designers and a frontend engineer who need the structural foundation you create.
