University of Washington Medical Center-Montlakehas an outstanding opportunity foran experienced nurse to join our Acute Care/Med-Surg Resource Team (Float Pool).

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 90% FTE, 36 hours per week
  • Straight nights or day/night rotations

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Acute Care Resource Team RNs provide care to patients on our medical-surgical units, which include transplant, oncology, complex med-surg, cardiology, and general medicine, and boarding areas in the PACU and ED. Training to specialty areas such as ED, NICU or postpartum is also provided.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a Resource Team RN, you will:
  • Provide acute patient care across a broad spectrum of hospital units
  • Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing team and providers
  • Follow evidence-based nursing practices
  • Monitor and administer medications and IVs

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of current/recent acute care med-surg nursing experience with a variety of patient diagnoses or multiple clinical areas
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
  • Active BLS certification

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45.59 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$83.64 hourly

Other Compensation:

BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour ; Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour Night Shift Premium - $5.00/hour: Evening Shift Premium - $3.00/hour Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour; Sunday Night Premium - $3.00/hour Overtime Pay Float Pay: $5.00/hour $5000 Relocation Assistance (for eligible new employees)
