Join our team as a Project Engineer within our Utilities (Water/Wastewater) practice area. This is a hybrid role based out of our Cary, North Carolina office.ย 


In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and management of water distribution and wastewater collection system projects, including pipelines, pump stations, storage facilities, and related infrastructure. You will oversee project execution, prepare and review engineering designs and specifications, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.


Ideal candidates have experience in utility infrastructure design with a passion for delivering reliable, resilient water and wastewater systems that support growing communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or field of expertise or equivalent experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 4+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in pump station design and utility infrastructure
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Handle multiple tasks under pressure and prioritize responsibilities
  • Exhibit leadership in planning and/or design concepts and methods
  • Ability to successfully manage all internal aspects of projects/project tasks
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to mentor and lead technical staff
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Working Conditions
