Pipe Foreman
Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. The Pipe Foreman oversees and coordinates the installation of underground utility piping systems for heavy civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct pipe crews in the installation of storm drains, sanitary sewers, water mains, and related structures.
  • Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and installation.
  • Coordinate daily activities with project managers, superintendents, and other trades.
  • Inspect work for compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Manage crew productivity, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and security of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and crew hours.
  • Be the Channel for communications between office and field.
  • Train and mentor crew members to improve skills and promote safety awareness.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of pipe installation methods, trench safety, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA safety training and certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Notable organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 50 pounds
  • English and Spanish fluency a plus, but is not required
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
