Job description

We are hiring local non-smoking candidates for our award-winning Hilton Garden Inn Oceanfront in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida. This is an hourly part time Utility person position.
Job Title: Utility person - Dishwasher
Department: Food and Beverage
Classification: Hourly
Reports to: Kitchen Manager


Job Overview: The Utility person performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish
washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Wash dishes, utensils, and pots.
โ€ข Operate dish washing equipment.
โ€ข Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
โ€ข Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules
and procedures.
โ€ข Empty trash containers as required.
โ€ข Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
โ€ข Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
โ€ข Follow safety regulations; report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS
โ€ข Ability to follow verbal instructions.
โ€ข Previous experience preferred but not required. Will train on the job.
โ€ข Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
โ€ข Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.

Physical Demands
โ€ข Requires moderate physical effort. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and
pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions
โ€ข Working conditions involve noise, heat, temperature changes, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.
โ€ข May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the Kitchen Manager.
