Remote utility billing specialists often communicate with customers and team members via phone, email, or online platforms. The role enables companies to efficiently manage billing operations while offering employees the flexibility to work from home.

  • Deliver data-driven recommendations for optimizing recurring expenses, including electric, gas, and water billing
  • Generate true-up reports and support the audit process, including vendor communications on utility rate or billing changes
  • Benchmark clients to spot data anomalies across utility accounts
  • Support third-party cost optimization and utility billing audit calculations
  • Identify overpayment or exemption opportunities within regulated cost categories, including utility tariffs and rate schedules
  • Interpret complex utility billing structures and rate schedules
  • Help build cost audit models for utility and energy accounts

What You Bring

  • Four-year degree
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, Billing Analyst, or similar, ideally with exposure to utility or construction or energy billing
  • Strong Excel skills; SQL, Salesforce, or Access experience a plus
  • Sharp analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

What You'll Get

  • Competitive base pay plus bonus plan
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office) with full remote tech setup provided
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan with a 20+ year track record of growth
  • Generous PTO (4 weeks to start) plus holidays
  • Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k)
  • A fun, high-energy team culture with regular social events

Compensation: $85,000–$91,000/yr base, depending on experience
