Job description

Description 

For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

Responsible for locating, pinpointing the paths of cables, pipes and other conduits that carry utilities underground. Our efforts are driven on Quality and Safety to protect underground utilities from damage during excavation.

Qualifications

  • - Able and willing to work outdoors in a various weather conditions.
  • - Computer proficiency. 
  • - Able to work in a confined space, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • - Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • - Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities
  • - Thoroughly search for underground Utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
  • - Read maps & Blue prints
  • - Using a company provided vehicle, equipment, and laptop to document, and close all tickets.
