Description

 Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Service Lead, Municipal Services to join our team.  This is an opportunity to drive high-impact site, roadway, and other design projects while shaping the future of our municipal team in our Appleton office. Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in municipal engineering, possess a strong background in project management and team leadership, and have the ability to build long-lasting relationships with Clients.

Requirements

  • Partner with leadership to develop and enact a comprehensive strategic plan, focusing on short- and long-term growth.
  • Lead service-specific proposal efforts, providing technical expertise and driving innovation in our project approaches.
  • Manage the design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects profitably.
  • Staff development and mentoring
  • Supervise the work of engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project
  • Develop project work plans and budget projections and effectively deploy resources
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging this insight to enhance our service offerings and project delivery methods.
  • Implement and uphold high standards for our work products, from design standards to project reports, ensuring quality and consistency across the board.
  • Review, interpret and act on business metrics, including utilization, backlog, work in process and accounts receivable
  • Prepare, maintain and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects
  • Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Coordinate with government agencies, utility providers or other outside agencies
  • Build relationships internally and externally with clients and strategic partners 

Required Experience:

  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage staff and direct resources effectively
  • Proven track record in operations, business development, and technical project management within the municipal sector.
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing pursuit strategies
  • Ability to coach and motivate others
  • Experience with municipal design, road design, and modeling of water, sanitary sewer and storm water systems  

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in WI (and be eligible for multi-state licensure)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in municipal engineering and project management
