Job description

Water / Wastewater Utilities Project Manager (PE) – Houston, TX

Halff has a position open for a Water / Wastewater Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to join our Water / Wastewater Utilities team as Project Manager in our Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 3 years of Project Management experience in Water / Wastewater large diameter pipeline design. What you will do:
  • Support preparation of scopes of work and budgets.
  • Conduct studies, prepare reports, and read/develop construction plans and specifications.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams and subconsultants.
  • Coordinate project deliverables, manage project budgets and schedule, and identify resolution of issues.
  • Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations, Halff requirements, and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
  • Support construction administration of projects and lead or assist permitting efforts.
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree (preferably in Civil or Environmental Engineering).
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in Water/Wastewater large diameter pipeline design.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Texas.
  • Water/Wastewater treatment, pump/lift stations and water storage experience desirable, but not required.
  • Must be proficient with conducting studies, preparing reports, and reading/developing construction plans and specifications.
  • Previous experience in coordinating project deliverables, managing project budgets and schedule, and identifying resolution of issues.
