This role carries full project ownership from preconstruction through closeout, operating in one of the most active data center construction corridors in the country.
We are looking for a PM who understands the pace and precision that mission-critical construction demands, has managed sitework and utility packages on complex projects, and can lead internal teams and external stakeholders without losing momentum.
Project scope

Key responsibilities
  • Manage data center sitework and underground utility projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts with full accountability for financial performance
  • Coordinate with owners, GCs, engineers, and design teams on mission-critical project requirements and sequencing
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, scope management, and performance oversight across all site utility packages
  • Drive RFI, submittal, and change order processes with accuracy and speed appropriate for data center schedules
  • Conduct regular site visits, monitor field progress, and align field execution with project milestones
  • Identify schedule and budget risks early and implement corrective action before they impact project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and project-specific permitting and regulatory requirements

What we are looking for
  • 5 or more years of project management experience in civil construction with a focus on sitework or underground utilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale or mission-critical construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong working knowledge of site grading, wet utilities, storm and sanitary systems, and site infrastructure

  • Familiarity with Austin market permitting requirements and local utility coordination
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent subcontract scopes on large civil packages
  • Background in preconstruction estimating or bid management for civil sitework

Why this opportunity
Austin is one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the United States and this contractor is positioned at the center of it.
