Job description

Job Description The CNC Machinist II is a mid-level position responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC machine tools to manufacture precision parts. This role requires proficiency in reading technical drawings, performing inspections, troubleshooting machining issues, and ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, to produce parts according to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAM files, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform dimensional and attribute inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and go/no-go gauges
  • Conduct first article inspections and adjust machining processes to maintain required tolerances
  • Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production and quality concerns
  • Participate in all required meetings, training, and development activities
  • Ability to communicate, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
