JOB DESCRIPTION
Substitute Secretary/Exam Proctor
Substitute Secretary/Exam Proctor:
  • Excellent communication skills

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working with students is a plus
  • Maintain student, building, staff and district confidentiality at all times
Exam Proctor Performance Responsibilities:
  • Set up Testing Space
  • Check in students/confirm attendance with attendance office
  • Monitor students on Test Day Toolkit
  • Monitor testing room
  • Collect all materials
  • Adhere to standardized testing guidelines (NO CELL PHONES in any testing room)
  • Communicate with Assistant Principal/Admin as needed
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the entire testing period
Substitute Secretary Performance Responsibilities:
  • Answer telephone, transfer calls as needed, take messages
  • Greet parents and other guests in welcoming & positive manner
  • Monitor building visitors, sign-in sheets and distribution of name tags
  • Assist faculty/staff as requested: Make copies, cut out learning materials, organize files, laminating, etc.
  • Help with copy machine problems; toner, jams, etc.
  • Provide information to subs upon arrival; potentially check in using Safe Visitor
  • Sign and document bus notes
  • Watch referred students in the office or detention room until teacher or administrator is available
  • Dismiss early departure students
  • Monitor bus and weather radios
  • Take daily attendance and check attendance line for call ins
  • Make phone calls for student absences not previously called or emailed to school
  • Sort and Distribute Inter office school mail in timely fashion
  • Sort and Distribute USPS mail in timely fashion
  • Distribute information as needed to classrooms
  • Other tasks as requested by Administrative Staff
