Job description

Echodyne is seeking a Contract UX Designer to assist our in-house designer on features related to the EchoWare software portfolio. 

Contract Length - 6 months

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is embedded with the core EchoWare team and maintains close coordination to ensure alignment with current capabilities, long-term plans, and evolving design standards. You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, solutions engineering and customers - translating user needs and business requirements into compelling experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create user flows, mockups, and low and high-fidelity prototypes. 
  • Collaborate with current UX designer to ensure alignment to overall product vision. 
  • Develop and iterate designs based on user feedback and stakeholder input. 
  • Ensure consistency with establish design systems, brand guidelines, and accessibility standards.   
  • Partner closely with development teams throughout implementation to ensure design quality and fidelity. 
  • Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership. 
  • Support and contribute to design system evolution and component libraries. 
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years of user design experience in both mobile and web. 
  • Proficiency with using Figma as a design tool. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the iterative design process from end-to-end, including wire-frames, prototypes, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals. 
  • Strong communication skills, adept at customer interviewing and other methods of customer engagement. 
  • Experience creating and/or contributing to design systems. 
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs. 
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and customer-centric mindset.
