Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced UX Designer to impact the health insurance industry. The ideal candidate will excel in UX and visual design, and seamlessly switch between tactical and strategic tasks. You should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences in complex environments and a deep understanding of our business goals.
As a UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritize work based on value, creating intuitive and visually compelling experiences for members, agents, employers, and providers.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design projects and demonstrating your understanding of UX principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and knowledge of user research methods, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

  • Experience working in teams and understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
